The dog park is open to the general public from 7:00 a.m - Dusk. All animals must be leashed when entering the park and leashed when leaving. The park has two sections for large and small dogs, water fountains for the canines and shaded seating. There is also playground equipment for dogs to test their skills. Dog Park in South Padre island, Texas The Park is situated on the banks of the Arroyo Colorado, and is located within the Laguna Atascosa National Wildlife Refuge. The park has lighted fishing piers, picnic areas, a playground, boat ramp with fish cleaning stations and courtesy docks, nature trail, wildlife observation tower, tent camping area, and 35 full-hookup RV sites.
